what did you do today?

I did this with these fabulous ladies.

These are our cool timing chips. {Way better than the last one I wore, by far.}

And here we are, post-race. Aren't we awesome?

How did I do? Not awesome, but it's over, right? Give me a few days before I even think about doing a half or even another 10K. Running just might not be my thing ...

last 5K post, I promise.

I found a few pictures of me at the race. Most of them make me look like a chubby, slightly constipated walker. This one, though, makes me look like a runner!!

{What you can't see is the 9-year-old just ahead of me that beat me. Seriously.}

hooray!

Little Corynn Olivia is finally here! She was born on Sunday at 5:19pm {8 lbs 1 oz and 19.5 in, for those who were wondering} and we couldn't be happier. Maddy doesn't know it yet, but they're going to be best friends!

And not to brag or anything, but I got to hold her and she's perfect.

facelift

I'm in blog-fixing-up mode apparently, too. Good thing I have an awesome sister who knows my taste and can design a rad header just for me. If anyone's interested in her design services, let me know and I can hook you up!

indulge me

The purpose of this picture is three-fold.
  1. Look at our pretty new chandelier and chair rail that Roger helped install while he was here! This room still needs a bit of touch-up painting and a few things on the wall, but it is otherwise done!
  2. Look at our kitchen table! It's exactly what I wanted and is sturdy enough that it should last for a long time.
  3. Look at the flower arrangements I did! I didn't take a better picture, but I sure was proud of them. I bought one large bouquet at Costco and arranged them in three coordinating vases with jute wrapped around each one.
