I'm addicted

to selling books on Amazon. I listed 18 books on Saturday afternoon and have already sold 11 of them. It's like free money because they were just collecting dust on our bookshelves. Now I just wish we had more books to get rid of ...

What's for dinner? Week 12

{I arbitrarily picked the number 12 to start counting the weeks. I want to have them distinguished, but I really don't want to go back and count how many times I've already done this.}

Monday: creamy garlic penne
Tuesday: BFD - blueberry pancakes and strawberry smoothies
Wednesday: BBQ mini meatloaf
Thursday: Matt's chicken enchiladas and spicy creamed corn - we're having friends over!
Friday: bruschetta and cheese stuffed chicken
Saturday: Brookie's baked ziti, vegetarian style
Sunday: plucket (a Stratton family Conference tradition!) and

I've got a lot of new recipes this week. I've decided I need to be better with my food budgeting and want to try out a few cheaper recipes that I can add to my menu choices (if they're any good). Right now, I've included links to all new recipes in my GoogleDocs and will post them to my recipe blog if they turn out!

Is a dollar really simple?

I found this great site a few days ago and have spent some time reading the archives. There's a lot of information! I really like this guy's perspective, though. He's about my age and came back from some pretty serious debt. It's nice to have some simple advice on how to save/budget/invest that isn't found on every other money site. {I mean, every article I've read on saving money tells me to cut out my $4/day Starbucks habit. Unfortunately, I don't have that vice, so the $20 a week they estimate they can save me is imaginary.} Want to know where to get started? Here are a few of my favorites so far:
