Mmm good!

Tonight, we took Matt's parent's to Babe's. It's in Roanoke in a warehouse built in the early 1900's and has really funky, country decor. There are only two things on the menu -- chicken-fried steak and fried chicken. It's basically a clogged artery waiting to happen. The last time I went was with the Ellingsons and Mom & Dad before they moved. You know when you talk up a restaurant in your mind and are pretty sure you're over-selling it and it won't live up to the memory? Yeah, Babe's doesn't have that problem. We all gorged ourselves on country-fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn and homemade biscuits. When I realized that I was full, I was sad I wouldn't be able to eat any more. That's the sign of a good restaurant!
