Weekend Roundup

Friday night we went to dinner at the Hatch's. It was my first-ever attempt at eating salmon and I (surprisingly) liked it. Thanks to Jen for helping me be brave! We went home and cleaned a bit, but mostly just went to bed early.

Saturday morning was spent getting our house ready for guests. We cleaned and unpacked and organized and threw away and did laundry. Lisa and Andrew showed up just in time for a yummy lunch. There was also time for football (of course) before heading to their reception. We finished the night with dinner, homemade oreos, more football and a rousing game of Mexican Train dominoes.

Sunday morning I made muffins and prepared my lesson for the six-year-olds. Church was interesting, as I had my class for the entire 3 hours. They all did great at their parts in the program, though. I was definitely a proud teacher! After church, we watched (you guessed it) football with a little Nascar thrown in. We ate delicious tomatillo burritos before Lisa had to head to the airport and Andrew had to drive to Shreveport. It was so fun to meet Andrew and get to hang out with Lisa!

{I meant to take some pictures of our weekend, but I've really been slacking in that area. I can't even remember the last thing I took a picture of!}

What fun things did you do this weekend??

We had a date! Only the 2nd since the baby was born and the first one where we were alone! He's 7 months, I know, pathetic!! We got a double feature and dinner, a true luxury.

Congrats on the date! We don't even have kids and an actual date is still a rarity for us!
