Weekend Roundup

As you can tell from my lack of blogging, I've had trouble getting back into the swing of things after Arizona. The week before the funeral, I was in a funk because I knew my Grandad wasn't doing well. Since getting back from Snowflake, it's taken me longer than I thought it would to feel up to post. I think I'm back, though.

Friday night, Matt and I went on a date. It's one of my favorite things to do.

Saturday was a busy house day. Matt got up early and took my car to get the brakes fixed {what else can go wrong with that car??} and he let me sleep in. He woke me up to tell me breakfast was ready. What a great husband I have! We spent the rest of the day unpacking (and throwing out lots of junk!), lawn-caring and football-watching. I went to the RS Broadcast that night with Jen and her mom. It brought back great memories of going with our moms together back when we were younger. Sadly, my mom wasn't here, but we had a great time talking over dinner and watching the broadcast together. Thanks!

Sunday was a normal Sunday. I got up and finished my lesson for my new class - the six-year-olds. I've taught a lot in my day, but never kids. It was much harder than I thought and I ended the meeting pretty frustrated. I think I've got to let it go and just try to instill one core principle into my class each week and have fun with them. It's a much different calling than I've ever had, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!

Up this week: Megan comes home from Europe! Dinner Thursday with friends!

What did you do this weekend?
