I had an awesome, friend-filled weekend. Friday night started out with meeting Jen at the theater to see Hairspray. It was just a fun, toe-tapping (and maybe spirit-fingering) good time. We headed to dinner and met up with a longtime friend who was in town for the weekend. We stayed at Red Robin far too long telling stories and laughing and catching up. Megan stayed with us for the weekend, so we headed home, checked out some blogs, and then went to sleep.Saturday morning brought more friends. More old friends met for breakfast and, again, we spent far too long telling stories, reminiscing and laughing. Saturday was my 10-year high school reunion {I'm old}, so old friends were coming out of the woodwork. After breakfast, Matt and I visited with Megan, ran to get lunch, and then had to come home to get ready to leave again. An old coworker got married on Saturday, so we headed up to Denton for the reception. It was really pretty and he looked so happy. Yippee for people getting married! It was fun to see people I hadn't seen in months (or years) and see how happy everyone is. After the wedding, Matt and I headed home and vegged in front of a movie before going to bed.
Sunday was a bittersweet day. Megan ended up leaving that morning and then I had to finish my last lesson for the YW in our current ward. We're a few weeks away from moving, but I've realized I'm really going to miss my girls. They are so great and make me so proud of them! I know they'll all be fine without me, but it's still hard -- I sort of feel like I'm abandoning them! After church, Matt and I had a quick dinner and then I crashed for a two-hour nap. I was only awake for a few hours after that before quickly falling asleep for the night. It was a fun, busy, friend weekend!
How was yours?
