Weekend Roundup

This weekend started early -- Stef came into town! She came over for rice casserole and Grey's on Thursday night. The show was thorougly disappointing {thank goodness for The Office!}, but it was fun to catch up with Stef and get to watch the show with someone else who loves it, too. Matt's just not a Grey's guy.

Friday night, Matt and I spent some quality time pricing and arranging the goods for the Boy Scout Garage Sale. I have never 'thrown' a garage sale before {I've probably only ever attended one} and it's a lot of work. Especially when your helpers are 13-year-old boys.

Saturday morning, Matt and I headed over to the garage sale. I only stuck around for a few hours, but there was a better turnout than expected. They ended up earning enough to send 1 1/2 boys to camp. I ditched out early to go shopping for a dress for Erin's wedding. I didn't want to look like white trash at the swankiest wedding I've ever attended. And swanky it was. We sat with Spanky and his wife, Megan, and marveled at it all. Erin looked amazing and she and Kyle were so happy. Congratulations, guys! {Hopefully Stef has a pic she can send me of this, since I didn't take my camera in... I'll add it to the post if she does!}

Sunday was Matt's birthday! I made him dutch babies for breakfast and he opened his presents before we each had to go to separate meetings. Matt ended up having to stay late for another meeting, so I headed home and made his requested dinner. After eating the yummy roast and potatoes and carrots, I finished up Matt's birthday cake while he did a few more Scout things. This was definitely a whirlwind weekend! I can't wait for next weekend!
