Ah, that headline is glorious to behold. The Las Vegas Bowl was the payoff for 5 years of futilely hoping for a return to the glory days of BYU football. My last semester at BYU was the miracle 2001 season where Crowton, in his first year, led BYU to a 12-2 record (including a win against CSU that involved me and my sisters setting off the cannon after a touchdown and my sign being mentioned in ESPN The Magazine*), yet the Cougs couldn't pull out a victory in the postseason. It looks like Bronco is the answer to the question -- who can replace LaVell?
The few games I've been able to watch this season have been great. The Utah game was exciting the whole time and the fact that we figuratively punched the Utes in the stomach with the last-second TD to win made it even better. I'm sad this season is over and I'm going to miss watching Jonny Harline play next year. Matt thinks I have a crush on him, but, really, I'm just amazed at the acrobatic catches he makes and his awesome trash-talking. Here's hoping the Las Vegas Bowl MVP plays in the NFL somewhere. Oh, and here's to my brother, who was at the game and now has a picture of himself with the trophy. You suck, Willie.
One last time for the year, GO COUGS!
*Yes, I'm still proud of this 5 years after the fact. Apparently I'm a dork, further emphasized by the fact that I'm totally wearing my BYU shirt to work tomorrow just so I have a conversation-starter to talk about the game*

I always do a doubletake when I see Johnny Harline on the field. His mom was one of my professors my freshman year and I remember Johnny as this little guy.
That game was so fun, and those commentators so stupid. At least pretend you're still interested in the game.
Is there something wrong with having a crush on Johnny Harline?
