I have never dressed up at work for Halloween and never thought I'd start at the ripe old age of 27. My manager was required to dress up, so she roped the whole department into it. Season was already planning to be a pirate captain, so the rest of us dressed up as her scrub pirates. Thanks to Susan for the costume help -- I was able to pull this look off for the sum total of zero dollars. FYI -- when I went through a drive through at lunch, the dude asked me if I was Axl Rose. What do you think? Do I look more "aaaargh!!" or "Sweet Child 'O Mine?"

I've had to dress up for seven years now. You know, because we're adults. This year I painted a big illuminated "A" on a shirt and went as the scarlet letter. Too cerebral?

It would have been a toss up, but the little hook finger took you over into the "pirate zone"!
If only I had walked around with the finger hook all day, there would have been no GNR question. Axl didn't have a hook, did he??
