So, a quick recap on my fun weekend. We drove down to San Antonio (don't worry, Lisa, there was no talking or music or fun-having. None at all.) for the Spurs-Suns game. I'm told that 3 girls driving 8 hours round-trip for a basketball game is hot. We made a quick stop at Wal-Mart to buy our Spurs t-shirts and then spruced them up with green beads and a shamrock pin (Happy Shamrock Day!) and headed over to the game. Our seats were on the top row, but we didn't mind. Spurs won, 108-102,and I got to see Timmy D, Ginobli, Parker and Stevie Nash in action. While Stef and I were walking around during halftime, we found the Holy Grail of Spurs fans... it was a sight lovely to behold. Well worth the drive. We went to dinner at this awesome place called Chachos, where they carded us before we even walked in the door. We scored some sweet armbands. We tried to watch a movie later that night, but I think Kati is the only one that managed to stay up until 3 watching a bad movie.
The next morning, Lisa, Kati and I hit up the San Antonio temple. After that, we went shopping and the three of us tried on matching dresses in coordinating colors for the Mormies. Sadly, none of the dresses worked. We headed back to Dallas, held up only by the crappy traffic in Austin. We definitely entertained the rest of the drivers stopped on the freeway with our rendition of Air Supply's "Making Love Out of Nothing at All", among other things. You can't beat three girls rocking out in the BMW with the windows down, sunroof open and bad 80's rock blaring. Great weekend.
